I am a wife, mom to three, step-mom to four, and pediatric occupational therapist hoping to share my story to share hope, love, and faith.

About

Mission:

The Broken Road Blessings is an invitation to walk alongside me, an imperfect person, on my journey through life’s beauties and struggles to instill hope in others needing light as they walk upon their own broken roads.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved writing.  As an adolescent, I would grab a pencil and notebook and write poems or short stories for hours. In my 20s, I began using social media as a way to encourage and inspire others to live healthier lifestyles.  After going through a divorce in 2018, I lost my identity and I lost my voice.  This event left a gaping hole in my chest large enough for only God to fill the void and completely transform me.  As I have witnessed Him rebuild my life brick by brick on a stronger faith-filled foundation, I felt called to share my story as a way to encourage others who may feel lost or broken, or as I was – trying to fill a void with earthly things that only God can truly satisfy. Some family and friends encouraged me to write a book, but I was reserved as I wanted to wait until I was on the other side of life’s big challenges before writing about my experiences.  I wanted to be able to provide wisdom on how I got “to the other side”, I wanted to be more knowledgeable about the history of the bible, I wanted to wait until I had more answers.  I had a lot of excuses not to share my story.  Then on Christmas Eve in 2023, I realized that I may never truly be “out of the storms” of life so I want to use Broken Road Blessings as an avenue to find my voice again and invite others to join my journey as I continue to face life’s challenges while being intentional to find the light in a world of darkness.

Inspiring hope.

I am a wife, mom, step-mom, daughter, sister, friend, and occupational therapist, among other things.  I am not a theologian and I am definitely not perfect.  However, God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things all the time.  While this may not be extraordinary to many, I hope that my journey in finding blessings along my own broken road will resonate with some about the intentionality of finding the beautiful rays of sunlight through the clouds.

Faith

Faith is a journey. It takes true intentionality to believe in what you cannot always see with your eyes, but rather feel from within.

Hope

Hope is what keeps us alive. Jesus provides an endless source of hope for us to know that no matter what our current circumstances, He holds the light for us to follow for a brighter tomorrow.

Love

Love is the foundation of all that is good and true. Love is more than just an emotion, a desire, or an action. Love is God and all things created by Him were done so that we could know Him and know love.
